Informational signage

How it works

Where this family sits in a scheme.

A directory is the one sign a visitor reads standing still, so it can carry density that a directional sign cannot. Estate and zone directories work hardest at entrances and transition points, where someone is orienting rather than travelling — which is also why their position matters more than their size.
